In 2021, the Town of Hudson Municipal Affordable Housing Trust released a Request for Proposals to redevelop their former Police Station site located at 62 Packard Street. Metro West CD and its development team submitted a winning proposal for 40 rental homes for individuals and families, located in four buildings: three 3-unit townhomes and one elevator low-rise building that would be fully wheelchair visitable. All units will be affordable to households earning up to 30%, 50%, and 60% of the Area Median Income.


62 Packard Street is supported by funding from the Hudson Municipal Affordable Housing Trust, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, CEDAC, MassHousing, Eastern Bank, MHP, WNC, and Dorfman Capital. Along with Metro West CD, the project team for 62 Packard Street includes architect Davis Square Architects and general contractor L.D. Russo. Construction on 62 Packard Street began in September 2023 and is expected to be completed in early 2025.


Residents will be selected by lottery, which will start accepting applications in late summer 2024. The application opportunity will be posted on this Metro West CD webpage and on, among other advertising. The Housing Navigator website includes an option at the bottom of the homepage to sign up for property listing notifications, and the 62 Packard Street lottery will be included in this newsletter when it is accepting applications.
